Confidentiality

Naturally, all information disclosed to me by you (including all written or electronic records) will be kept in the strictest of confidence with the following exceptions:

• In the case of a court ordered subpoena

• At the disclosure of a serious criminal offence

• Where there is imminent danger of risk of harm to self or others

In such cases I will always endeavour to discuss the matter of disclosure with the client before informing the appropriate authorities.

In addition to this, as part of my ongoing commitment to best practice some unspecified information (as is relevant to the best possible outcome of the therapeutic process for the client) may be disclosed in the context of my own clinical supervision. In such instances names are not provided.
